What You Need

Prepare these documents before you go:

• Completed TM.7 application form
• Copy of your TM.30 paper form (the paper version is required; online TM30 is not accepted)
• Copy of your passport’s photo page and the page with your latest Thai entry stamp
• Passport photo (4 x 6 cm)
• Your passport (with the TM.30 slip inside)
• Extension fee: 1,900 THB (cash)

Step-by-Step Process

1. Go to a Thai Immigration Office before your current stay expires. Try to avoid going on Mondays, as wait times are usually much longer.
2. Submit your documents at the counter.
3. Pay the 1,900 THB fee.
4. Wait for your application to be processed (usually takes 1–3 hours).
5. If approved, you’ll receive a 30-day extension stamp in your passport.

Important Notes

• Overstay Fines: If you do not extend your visa and overstay, you will be fined 500 THB per day, up to a maximum of 20,000 THB. Overstaying can also make future visa applications or entry into Thailand more difficult.
